Regulatory Compliance Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Regulatory Compliance Officer to join our dynamic Risk and Compliance team in Germany. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in navigating and enhancing our compliance framework, ensuring alignment with local regulations and fostering trust with our Supervisors.
Key Responsibilities- Act as Qonto's Money Laundering Officer for the German market, serving as the main point of contact for the competent authorities in Germany.
- Engage with the competent authorities on all compliance matters for the German market, including ad hoc requests, regulatory reporting, and onsite controls.
- Proactively identify and mitigate compliance risks through new product reviews, partnerships, and outsourcing approvals.
- Participate in cross-functional team projects to roll out Qonto's strategy to become the #1 online business account in Europe.
- Lead and manage compliance projects, setting benchmarks for success.

- At least 5 years of experience in regulatory compliance within the banking or payment industry.
- Strong technical skills in AMLD5 and PSD2, with direct exposure to competent authorities.
- Fluency in both English and German, with any other European language a plus.
- Excellent communication and analytical skills.
- Ability to distill complex regulations into understandable terms and to a variety of audiences.
