Regulatory Compliance Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Regulatory Compliance Officer to join our dynamic Risk and Compliance team at Qonto. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in navigating and enhancing our compliance framework in the German market, ensuring alignment with local regulations and fostering trust with our Supervisors.
Key Responsibilities- Act as Qonto's Money Laundering Officer for the German market, serving as the main point of contact for the competent authorities in Germany.
- Engage with the competent authorities on all compliance matters for the German market, including ad hoc requests, regulatory reporting, and onsite controls.
- Proactively identify and mitigate compliance risks through new product reviews, partnerships, and outsourcing approvals.
- Participate in cross-functional team projects to roll out Qonto's strategy to become the #1 online business account in Europe.
- Lead and manage compliance projects, setting benchmarks for success.

Your manager will be Guilhem, our Lead Regulatory Compliance. Guilhem has a robust background in Regulatory Compliance and Internal Control, with over 8 years of experience. He has been with Qonto for 15 years, starting as a Regulatory Expert and now leading our Regulatory Compliance team.
About You- You have at least 5 years of experience and strong technical skills in regulatory compliance within the banking or payment industry, AMLD5, PSD2, preferably with direct exposure to competent authorities.
- You are fluent in both English and German, with any other European language being a plus.
- You thrive in cross-functional teams and are skilled at working collaboratively.
- You can distill complex regulations into understandable terms and communicate effectively to a variety of audiences.
