Precision Optics Technician

We are seeking a skilled Diamond Machining Specialist to join our team at Mynaric AG. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for operating single-point diamond turning CNC machines to produce high-precision optical components.
Key Responsibilities- Operate single-point diamond turning CNC machines to produce optical components with high precision and accuracy.
- Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications to ensure accurate production.
- Clean and inspect diamond-turned components to ensure quality and accuracy.
- Record inspection data, labor hours, and job information in our manufacturing systems.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment by following cleaning schedules and inventory control.
- Assemble and maintain diamond tools in tool holders and position tools in machines.
- Create, load, edit, and store diamond turning programs using CAM software.
- Perform complex set-ups and operate machines on assignments with minimal supervision.
- 3+ years of experience in a related industry with a degree in a technical discipline or apprenticeship.
- Experience with spherical optics, aspheres, and optical testing.
- Experience with SPDT manufacturing equipment such as Moore Nanotech, Precitech, etc.
- Experience in optics manufacturing environments and troubleshooting complex processes.
- Team player with excellent written and verbal communication skills, careful, well-organized, and detail-oriented.
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings and documentation, CAD/CAM knowledge is an advantage.
- Strong computer skills, including MS Work and Excel, and excellent organizational skills and strong interpersonal skills.
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written in English. German language knowledge is a plus.
