Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Procurement Specialist to join our team at Intuitive Surgical, a pioneer in robotic-assisted surgery. In this role, you will be responsible for managing procurement of direct and indirect materials to support business requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • You will plan all purchased parts within your responsibility area and make decisions to release, firm, cancel, or defer purchase orders based upon current inventory, demand, and capacity.
  • Maintain appropriate inventory levels to support production plans and review, interpret, and communicate material demand forecasts and manage capacity planning for assigned commodity groups and/or supplier relationships.
  • Attend internal meetings and frequent Supply Chain Conference-calls with partners and suppliers to drive performance management and improvement efforts for designated suppliers.
About You:
  • A BA degree in economics, industrial business management, or equivalent, and at least 2 years of purchasing experience in a regulated industry manufacturing environment (medical device preferred).
  • Excellent computer skills, including MS Office products, SAP, Coupa, and Agile.
  • A deep working knowledge of buying, material planning, master scheduling, and forecasting.
  • Proven ability to achieve given goals and objectives.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and projects successfully.
Benefits:

Intuitive Surgical offers a competitive salary range of $85,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience. Additionally, we provide comprehensive benefits, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) matching, and generous paid time off.
