Enterprise Sales Manager

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Enterprise Sales Manager to join our team at Bertelsmann SE & Co. KGaA. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for driving business development and managing strategic deals within the payments or financial industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, leveraging your extensive network to build and nurture relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Engage in high-stakes negotiations and manage executive relationships to close complex, high-value deals.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing, Product, Account Management, and other internal teams to align strategies and achieve company objectives.
  • Develop and implement sales strategies that align with the company's goals, using data-driven insights to inform decisions and drive success.
  • Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and networking functions to enhance the brand's presence and influence.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the payments or financial industry with a robust network within payments, platforms, retail, or marketplaces.
  • Proven track record in enterprise B2B sales, with experience managing long sales cycles (6-18 months) and closing high-value deals.
  • Strong ability to identify and develop new business opportunities, with a consultative sales approach.
  • Exceptional networking abilities and presentation skills, with experience maintaining senior executive relationships.
  • Data-driven, strategic thinker with a commercially driven attitude and the ability to navigate complex sales environments.
  • Collaborative mindset with a willingness to work across different offices, roles, and cultures in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
  • Familiarity with product development processes, particularly in the payments industry, and the ability to engage with technical stakeholders effectively.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, or a related field; MBA is a plus.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in business development, sales, GTM, or strategy roles within high-growth environments.
  • Strong executive presence with the ability to influence and earn trust with senior leaders and stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to meet or exceed quota targets on enterprise deals.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.
  • Willingness to travel within the EU as required.
  • English language skills on level C1/C2
