Job Summary:

This position is responsible for maintaining work scheduling data, work status-to-date, process controls, and forecasts completions and computations of various tasks on contract units. The successful candidate will prepare, transfer, systematize, and preserve both written and computerized communications and records. They will gather and distribute information and account for stores of materials.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Compile and record production data to compare records and reports on volume of production, consumption of material, quality control, and other aspects of production.
  • Compile and record production data from customer orders, in-shop work orders, product specifications, and individual worker production sheets following prescribed recording procedures.
  • Calculate factors such as types and quantities of items produced, materials used, amount of scrap, frequency of defects, and worker and department production rates.
  • Write production reports based on data compiled, tabulated, and computed, following prescribed formats.
  • Maintain files of documents used and prepared.
  • Prepare written work schedules based on established guidelines and priorities.
  • Compile material inventory records and prepare requisitions for procurement of materials and supplies.
  • Chart production based on statistics compiled for reference by production and management personnel.
  • Participate in the maintenance planning cycle.
  • Ensure scheduled and unscheduled maintenance actions are entered and completed in Global Combat Support System – Army (GCSS-A).
  • Understand and follow all Company and Government policies, procedures, and directives.
  • Follow all Safety directives for APS-2.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • High School graduate or equivalent.
  • Driver's license is required.
  • Valid civilian US Passport is required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience required.
  • Knowledge of GCSS-A is required.
  • Formal Training: GCSS-A certification and/or Military AIT/industry 40hr course equivalent. Must be able to produce GCSS-A Training and Certifications (GTRAC) within 30 days of hire.
  • Must have a comprehensive knowledge of maintenance repairs on a variety of equipment.
  • Ability to provide information and reports, resolve issues, and recommend actions to improve delivery of services to the customers.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and analytical skills are required.
  • Excellent computer, interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills required. Computer skills include a working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Must be able to meet and maintain all base access security requirements.
  • Must be able to meet and maintain all Logistics Information System (LIM) access requirements (Common Access Card).
  • Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English.
  • Must be able to independently operate with minimal supervision.
  • Must possess a strong knowledge of logistics and maintenance.
  • Must have demonstrated leadership and management skills, including a professional demeanor.
  • Must have strong interpersonal communication skills and ability to work and communicate with others effectively.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Background in military production control is a plus.

Work Environment, Physical Demands, and Mental Demands:

Work is performed in a variety of settings, typically warehouse and/or outdoor environment with various weather conditions. Hazards include danger from gas fumes, falls, electric shock, and burns, cuts, and bruises. Physical requirements include prolonged standing, moderate walking, repeated bending, and climbing, overhead work, working in cramped positions, lifting, pulling, and pushing weights up to 50 pounds, routinely sitting, and constant use of speech/hearing abilities for communication, constant mental alertness, must possess planning/organizing skills, and must be able to work under deadlines. Must have normal color vision. When performing work, responsible for adhering to environmental, safety, and health standards related to the activity, including the wearing of all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Must cease work and notify lead, supervisor, or manager of all unsafe conditions. Must be able to endure long and/or flexible hours due to OCONUS operational environment and contractually stipulated work schedule.
