About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Industrial Engineer - Plant Infrastructure & Utilities Specialist to join our team at Skeleton Technologies. As a key member of our Scale-Up department, you will play a crucial role in the engineering and design of plant utility systems, ensuring they meet the highest quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise the engineering and design of plant utility systems, including electricity, heating, compressed air, process gas supply, and sanitary systems, in collaboration with a 3rd party plant engineering office.
  • Ensure the plant utility technical concepts and deliverables meet quality and HSE requirements, including specifications, data sheets, drawings, and functional descriptions.
  • Prepare purchase order requests for plant utility systems and coordinate their fulfillment with suppliers.
  • Support the Plant Construction and Permitting Specialist in managing the 3rd party plant engineering office and participating in plant design and construction reviews.
  • Perform field engineering during construction works and review the installation of plant utility systems.
  • Travel to meet with construction and permitting partners/authorities as required.
Requirements
  • 3 years of experience in maintenance, construction, or facility management.
  • Degree in Mechanical/Civil Engineering or equivalent technical education.
  • Chemical industry experience, particularly handling hazardous gases and liquids.
  • Basic understanding of applicable European or German codes and standards for plant utility systems.
  • Excellent English skills, with German considered a strong benefit.
  • Proficient technical report writing skills.
  • Ability to learn and develop new skills.
  • Capacity to recognize potential permitting, construction, or operational issues and contribute to solving problems.
  • Construction knowledge of materials, methods, and tools involved in building utility systems, preferably for powder- and gas-processing chemical plants.
  • Basic ability to evaluate plant engineering and construction works for correctness.
