Renewable Energy Business Development Manager

ERM is seeking a seasoned professional to spearhead the expansion of our Capital Project Delivery business in the German renewables market. As a key member of our team, you will leverage your consulting expertise, business acumen, and technical knowledge in onshore wind, offshore wind, and solar power to unlock new growth opportunities.

With a strong presence in the German market since 1989, ERM Germany has built a solid reputation in the environmental services market. Our Capital Projects Delivery (CPD) team has been delivering technically challenging environmental and social impact studies (EIA's and ESIA's) for some of the largest infrastructure projects in Germany. This team has more than tripled its size in the past 15 years and works with a wide range of clients, including domestic companies, large German and European banks, international lending organizations, and corporate clients.

Role Profile

You will be responsible for commercial growth for the CPD renewable services in Germany, working with existing clients and winning new business. Our go-to-market model enables our team members to build longer-term, deep relationships with clients. You will have the opportunity to work with our multi-disciplinary team to support our clients' full asset life cycle. This role will be focused primarily around the German market. Business fluent German and English language skills are mandatory.

You will be required to:

  • Bring proven consultancy experience with a strong track record of creating pragmatic, innovative solutions to clients in the renewables space in Germany.
  • Develop new client relationships and expand existing relationships by delivering strategic consulting advice, excellent value, and quality service that support clients through the planning and feasibility phases of capital projects.
  • Actively develop commercial strategies to pursue and win new business opportunities; create a sales pipeline with the potential to build year-on-year work that ensures sustainable bottom-line growth.
