About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Science Manager to join our team at Kaufland e-commerce. As a key member of our data science team, you will be responsible for leading a team of data scientists and data engineers to develop and implement data-driven solutions that drive business growth and improve customer experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of data scientists and data engineers to develop and implement data-driven solutions
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business opportunities and develop data-driven solutions
  • Develop and maintain data science solutions and services that are integrated into our platform and app features
  • Drive stakeholder collaboration and communication to ensure successful project outcomes
  • Challenge data science and modeling approaches, data selection and handling, and deployment and maintenance strategies
Requirements
  • Experience in managing teams or as a project lead in a production setting, ideally in a remote-work environment
  • Extensive professional experience in a related area (data science, software development, e-commerce) as an individual contributor
  • Master's degree in computer science, mathematics, engineering, or equivalent
  • High-quality standards for work and ability to advocate them to the team
  • Passion for e-commerce and ambition to keep pace in the market
  • Embracing change and a fast-moving work environment
  • Empathic leadership and willingness to promote servant leadership
