Logistics Operations Specialist

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Logistics Analyst 1 to join our team at Amentum. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in the execution of training operations, managing and training mission-assigned workforce, and conducting daily/weekly briefings as required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate with the CUOPS/FUOPS Manager on short/long-term planning
  • Interface with government representatives and other contractor elements to ensure smooth operations and compliance with government directives
  • Develop and prepare Decision Making Processes, Courses of Action, initial mission briefings, information briefings, and decision briefings
  • Assist in all phases of the execution of Operational orders and Warning orders in support of training/exercise objectives
  • Monitor the execution of plans and schedules, and provide recommendations to adjust workload and workforce accordingly
  • Identify complex systemic problems and provide solutions to enhance the effectiveness of logistics programs
  • Assist in the development and implementation of standard operating procedures, work instructions, and training plans
  • Conduct, lead, and participate in briefings, problem-solving meetings, and PMO operations discussions
  • Analyze data and perform causative research
  • Provide timely, accurate, and relevant information to Operations leadership and/or Government personnel
  • Generate all required reports, charts, graphs, and/or data calls
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • Army Battle Staff Course, Support Operations Course, or equivalent service schools preferred
  • 7 years' experience in operations management or similar experience required
  • A minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience required
  • Strong organizational and planning skills
  • Basic knowledge in the use of MS Office, including Word and Excel, Outlook, and other related applications
  • Advanced level of English oral and written language skills
  • Ability to meet and maintain all base access security requirements
Specialized Knowledge and Skills
  • Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English
  • Ability to independently operate with minimal supervision
  • Strong knowledge of operations, logistics, maintenance, supply, and/or transportation procedures
  • Driver's license required
