About the Role:

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Logistics Manager (m/w/d) to join our team at Hermes. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for leading a team of logistics professionals and overseeing the day-to-day operations of our Last Mile logistics network in the Munich area.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with our Last Mile managers to analyze and optimize our logistics processes, ensuring efficient and cost-effective operations.
  • Lead and develop a team of logistics professionals, including recruitment, training, and coaching.
  • Manage budgets and negotiate contracts with suppliers, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Acquire, maintain, and coach our network of logistics partners.
  • Ensure high productivity and quality standards are met, adhering to agreed-upon metrics.
  • Ensure all employees working on behalf of Hermes are employed in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.

Requirements:

  • Qualifications in a relevant field, such as business administration, logistics, or supply chain management, combined with significant experience in the logistics industry.
  • Proven leadership experience, preferably in the logistics sector.
  • Highly motivated and results-driven individual with excellent decision-making and entrepreneurial skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make informed decisions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Fluency in English is desirable.
