About the Role

Rivada Space Networks GmbH is seeking a highly skilled Senior 3GPP Architect to join our dynamic team. As a Senior 3GPP Architect, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and optimizing telecommunications systems and protocols according to the latest 3GPP standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the architecture and design of telecommunications systems based on 3GPP standards, ensuring compliance and interoperability
  • Customize and extend existing protocol specifications to address specific project needs, incorporating new features and functionalities
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including software engineers, system architects, and product managers to define and implement protocol customization requirements
  • Conduct thorough analysis and evaluation of protocol performance, identifying areas for optimization and improvement
  • Stay updated on the latest advancements in 3GPP standards and telecommunications technologies, integrating relevant developments into our projects and solutions
Requirements
  • Extensive experience in telecommunications, with a focus on 3GPP standards and protocols
  • Proven expertise in protocol customization, including hands-on experience with modifying and extending protocol specifications
  • Strong understanding of wireless communication principles, including radio access networks (RAN), core network (CN), and protocols such as LTE, NR, and 5G
  • Familiar with software-defined networking (SDN) and network function virtualization (NFV) concepts
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as C/C++ and scripting languages like Python for protocol customization and implementation
