Your Responsibilities

  • Strategic Management: Develop and implement the global research and development strategy to strengthen GULP's market position as an innovation leader.
  • Innovation: Promote research into new technologies and product developments, particularly in the areas of water analysis and color measurement technology.
  • Cooperation: Establish and maintain strategic partnerships with external research institutes, universities, and technology companies to exploit synergies and promote innovative solutions.
  • Research Funding: Actively scout and secure research funding through national and international programs to further increase GULP's innovative strength and competitiveness.
  • Patent Portfolio: Expand and maintain the global patent portfolio by fostering inventiveness within the company and ensuring intellectual property protection.
  • Project Management: Monitor and coordinate all R&D projects worldwide, ensuring timely and cost-efficient results.
  • Lean Development: Implement and continuously improve lean development methods to maximize efficiency and quality in product development.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and develop a multidisciplinary, international R&D team, promoting a culture of collaboration and knowledge sharing.
  • Market and Competitive Analysis: Identify trends and new business opportunities by continuously analyzing market and competitive situations.
  • Regulatory Requirements: Ensure that all developed products meet international quality and safety standards.

Your Profile

  • Academic Background: Successfully completed studies in chemistry, engineering, materials science, or a related field. A PhD is an advantage.
  • Professional Experience: At least 5 years of experience in research and development, preferably in a management position in a global company.
  • Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of water analysis, chemistry, or metrology and experience with regulatory requirements in the industry.
  • Leadership Skills: Proven experience in leading international teams and interdisciplinary projects.
  • Language Skills: Business fluent in German and English; other foreign languages are an advantage.
  • Willingness to Travel: Willingness to undertake regular international business trips.
