Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Business Intelligence Engineer to join our team. As a Business Intelligence Engineer, you will be responsible for leading and executing strategic analytical and data engineering projects, coordinating closely with business and technology teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and execute strategic analytical and data engineering projects, coordinating closely with business and technology teams.
- Deep dive into the downstream impact of customer-facing applications by extracting, transforming, and analyzing large transactional datasets.
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable data solutions, including ETL pipelines, data warehouses, and reporting tools to support business intelligence and analytics needs.
- Create and optimize dashboards, reports, and visualizations using a BI tool (currently Grafana) ensuring they meet business requirements.
- Champion best practices in data management, reporting, and analysis, with a focus on data integrity, efficient test design, validation, and thorough documentation.
- Develop and maintain SQL queries and Python scripts for ad-hoc analysis, reporting, and data processing tasks.
- Collaborate with Product and Tech teams to define data structures and requirements for new features across our apps and internal systems.
Requirements
- Proven experience in data modeling, data warehousing (e.g., ClickHouse), and building robust ETL pipelines.
- Strong proficiency in SQL for data extraction and manipulation, along with knowledge of database systems such as PostgreSQL or similar.
- Scripting experience in Python for data processing, automation, and analysis.
- Hands-on experience with data visualization tools such as Grafana, Tableau, or Power BI.
- A degree in a quantitative field such as Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, or Physics.
- Business proficiency in German.
- Fundamental understanding of key business metrics related to finance, operations/supply chain management, and marketing.
- Familiarity with lower-level programming languages such as C#.
