Data Center Colocation Regional Engineer

About the Role

A100 ROW GmbH - D26 is seeking a highly skilled Data Center Colocation Regional Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our Data Center Field Engineering Team, you will be responsible for driving Mechanical and Electrical Engineering services, construction, and implementation of enterprise data centers that meet quality and performance levels across the globe.

Key Responsibilities

Work with colo vendors to review the design for new Data Centers in your region, including design input, submittal review, and incorporating AWS products to ensure the design meets AWS expectations.

Act as resident engineer during new colo construction projects, supporting construction, commissioning, and handover.

Troubleshoot, conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and create Corrective Action (CA) documentation for site/equipment failures.

Directly support operational issues with ad-hoc training, complex operating procedure reviews, including essential equipment, and event support.

Provide technical support to the design for existing data center upgrades and design-solutions, which add capacity, improve availability, and increase efficiency.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in mechanical/electrical engineering or 5+ years of relevant experience

Cumulative 7+ years of experience with industrial or commercial engineering

Strong technical skills and knowledge of data center design and operations

Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
