About the Job

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Service Anatomy Pathology to join our team at the Laboratoire National de Santé (LNS) in Luxembourg. As a key member of our multidisciplinary public institution, you will be responsible for managing and supervising the activities of the Pathological Anatomy team within the National Center of Pathology (NCP).

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate all activities in the Pathological Anatomy service, ensuring compliance with quality standards and established procedures.
  • Plan, organize, and lead team meetings to discuss complex cases and share knowledge, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
  • Liaise with other medical departments to ensure integrated patient management, promoting a seamless and efficient healthcare experience.
  • Collaborate with the head of department and unit heads to establish, monitor, and supervise annual and long-term strategic and operational objectives, as well as to develop, monitor, and manage the department's annual budget and capital requirements.
  • Ensure that the service complies with current safety standards and regulations, prioritizing the well-being and safety of patients and staff.
  • Participate in the laboratory's accreditation and certification activities, maintaining the highest standards of quality and excellence.
  • Ensure efficient management of the department's human and material resources, optimizing productivity and performance.
Requirements
  • Doctorate in Medicine (MD) and specialization in anatomical pathology.
  • A minimum of five years' experience as a medical specialist in anatomical pathology, with proven experience in management.
  • Authorization to practice in Luxembourg as a physician-specialist in anatomical pathology.
  • Demonstrated leadership, team management, and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a high-performing team.
  • Experience in molecular pathology diagnostics and digital pathology, with a strong understanding of the latest technologies and advancements in the field.
  • Fluency in French and English, with knowledge of German being an asset.
