Fund Accounting Manager

Cherry Ventures is seeking a highly skilled Fund Accounting Manager to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for managing and improving our Investor Reporting capabilities, ensuring high-quality, consistent, and compliant reporting.
You will spearhead the automation of the Investor Reporting process, reducing manual labor by incorporating diverse fund structures and governance into our systems. By delivering automated, top-notch investor reporting, you will help Cherry Ventures become a leader in the private market sector.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and improve Investor Reporting capabilities, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with diverse fund standards and regulations.
- Drive the automation of the Investor Reporting process, reducing manual labor by integrating new funds and their unique governance structures into our automated framework.
- Educate and guide the team on key problems to solve within the Investor Reporting framework.
- Collaborate closely with technology teams to enhance and refine the automation tools and processes used in Investor Reporting.
- Maintain rigorous quality control over all reports generated, ensuring they meet the high standards expected by fund managers and LPs.
- Manage communications with fund managers and LPs, providing prompt and effective responses and updates.
- Oversee and coordinate with other team members and departments to ensure a cohesive approach to Investor Reporting.
- A degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field, coupled with 3+ years of experience in fund accounting or a related financial reporting role, preferably within the private equity or venture capital sectors or at a reputable consultancy firm.
- Proven accounting experience, ideally with some consulting or tax expertise.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with a proven ability to handle complex datasets and reporting requirements.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of managing relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders effectively.
- Knowledge of working with legal documents, such as Partnership Agreements, as well as accounting data.
- Proficiency in using financial software and tools, with a keen interest in leveraging technology to improve financial processes.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize effectively, and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Fluent in English (C1) is a must, and proficiency in German is a plus.
