About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Occupational Safety and Health Manager to join our central department for Environmental Protection, Health Management, and Occupational Safety at Siemens Mobility GmbH. As a key member of our global EHS community, you will play a critical role in overseeing occupational safety management and driving continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement global occupational safety strategies in collaboration with Regional and Business Unit EHS Heads.
- Design and execute health & safety initiatives across our business units and regions, aligning with our EHS and sustainability programs.
- Introduce innovative solutions to current and future occupational safety challenges and mentor local colleagues to ensure effective knowledge transfer.
- Analyze monthly safety reports and provide feedback to relevant organizations, supporting the analysis of unintended events to ensure lessons learned are shared with stakeholders.
- Drive consistency in EHS approaches across our business units and regions, including setting targets, developing programs, and conducting workshops.
Requirements
- Master's degree in mechanical or safety engineering, or a related field.
- Proven track record and long-term experience as a global EHS Manager within a complex matrix organization.
- Experience in designing and implementing occupational safety programs.
- Familiarity with Human and Organizational Performance (HOP) principles and Learning Teams / Operational Learnings is a plus.
- In-depth knowledge of relevant standards and management systems (especially ISO 14001/45001), for example through an EHS auditor qualification, as well as regulatory requirements in the Sustainability and EHS area, e.g. CSRD.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to build strong partnerships and influence stakeholders.
- Business fluent in written and spoken English is essential. German and other languages are desirable. Additionally, willingness to travel worldwide.
