Senior Director of Site Reliability Engineering

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Director to lead our global Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) department. As a key member of our Developer Platform tribe, you will be responsible for driving innovation and building central services and products in the area of site reliability.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the global SRE organization of 35 engineers spread across Berlin and Dubai.
- Work closely with the Developer Productivity and Developer Infrastructure departments to integrate SRE tools and products into the overall developer experience.
- Support over 4000 software engineers distributed in our tech hubs and regional entities across the globe.
- Develop and implement group-wide standards to measure reliability-related metrics and drive improvements in order retention and availability.
- Drive quarterly and long-term objectives and key results with full responsibility for executing on OKRs and the SRE roadmap.
- Master's degree in computer science or a related field and a strong engineering background.
- Extensive experience running web-scale cloud-native services and acting as an incident commander for large-scale operational issues.
- 10+ years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering or DevOps fields.
- 5+ years of leadership experience, leading multiple teams of teams, ideally within platform, infrastructure, or foundation departments.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong influencer with stakeholder management skills.
- Strong customer focus and a passion for high-performance software delivery.
- A hybrid working model with face-to-face connection and collaboration in our Berlin campus 2 days a week.
