Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Technician or Building Technician to join our team at the Hamburg Port Authority. As an Operations Manager for our Drainage Fields, you will be responsible for overseeing the execution of new, renovation, and maintenance projects, as well as coordinating all related activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the execution of new, renovation, and maintenance projects on our Drainage Fields, ensuring timely completion and quality standards.
- Oversee the construction supervision and coordination of external engineering firms on-site.
- Develop and implement solutions for minor project deviations on-site or at the treatment plant.
- Participate in change order negotiations and final inspections, preparing and issuing tender documents.
- Support the disposition of dredged material and mass flows within the treatment plants, ensuring accurate documentation.
- Regularly inspect and assess the condition of water collection systems at the treatment plants, providing a comprehensive evaluation.
Requirements
- A completed vocational training and a degree in Building Technology or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience in construction management, with a strong understanding of civil and water engineering principles.
- Proficiency in MS Office and ability to work independently with a high level of initiative.
- Excellent organizational and coordination skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Valid driver's license (Class B or equivalent).
