We are seeking a talented and highly gifted Postdoctoral Researcher to join our team at the Leibniz Institute for Natural Product Research and Infection Biology. The successful candidate will be part of our research group Applied Systems Biology, where we investigate the pathobiology of human-pathogenic fungi and develop novel natural product-based antibiotics.

Research Areas

Our research focuses on mathematical modeling, state-based and agent-based modeling, game theory, and other related areas. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on a multifaceted scientific project with excellent technical facilities and strong scientific collaborations.

Requirements
  • Doctoral degree in physics, computer science, bioinformatics, or a related discipline
  • Strong interest in biological systems; an educational background in biology is preferred
  • Experience in mathematical modeling and computer simulations
  • Very good programming skills, preferably in C / C++ and/or Python
  • Ability to perform team-oriented as well as independent work
  • Good communication skills in English are a must
