Job Opportunity at Leibniz Institute for Natural Product Research and Infection Biology

We are seeking a highly skilled Postdoctoral Researcher to join our team at the Leibniz Institute for Natural Product Research and Infection Biology. The successful candidate will be part of our research group Applied Systems Biology, where we investigate the pathobiology of human-pathogenic fungi and develop novel natural product-based antibiotics.

Research Focus

Our research group focuses on mathematical modeling, state-based and agent-based modeling, game theory, and other advanced approaches to understand complex biological systems. The successful candidate will work on developing and applying computational models to analyze and simulate biological systems, with a focus on image-based systems biology.

Requirements
  • Doctoral degree in physics, computer science, bioinformatics, or a related discipline
  • Strong interest in biological systems and experience in mathematical modeling and computer simulations
  • Very good programming skills, preferably in C/C++ and/or Python
  • Ability to perform team-oriented as well as independent work
  • Good communication skills in English

Salary is paid according to German TV-L (salary agreement for public service employees).
