Job Title: Market Analyst

We are seeking a highly skilled Market Analyst to join our team in Essen. As a Market Analyst, you will be responsible for delivering analysis of the price and fundamental development of the global commodity markets, assessing possible future movements of price levels and spreads in the European commodity markets.

Your Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver market analysis and insights to support commercial strategies and decision-making.
  • Collaborate with Trading & Origination and Portfolio functions to develop and implement commercial strategies.
  • Analyze energy market data to identify trading opportunities and optimize Group-wide decision making.
  • Support the build and further maturity of a large, international energy customer portfolio as part of E.ON's transformation program.
  • Prepare reports on trading performance and market analysis, presenting these to a wide variety of audiences.
Your Profile:
  • University degree or comparable qualification in a relevant field.
  • Proven experience in the European energy markets in a commercial, analytical, or consulting role.
  • Strong commercial mindset, analytical skills, and motivation to deliver commercial results.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a highly motivated team.
