Internship Overview

We are looking for motivated interns in software engineering and mechanical engineering to join our team. This internship offers a unique opportunity to work on projects that redefine the boundaries of art and technology.

Key Responsibilities

Role and Duties:

  • Collaborate with our engineering team to contribute to the design, development, and enhancement of our pioneering "Cognitive Paintings."
  • Improve and expand the functionalities of the "Frame Designer," an online tool that manages the LED panels behind each artwork, focusing on color adjustments, animation features, and sensor integration.
  • Work alongside team members to enhance the usability and flexibility of our platform, actively participating in debugging and troubleshooting.
  • Engage in collaborative projects with dancers and choreographers to integrate movement sensors into the design process of the "Cognitive Paintings," enriching performance experiences.
  • Develop mechanical systems to enable the dynamic movement of the artworks within various environments, enhancing audience interaction.
About Our Projects

Our "Cognitive Paintings" are a culmination of artistic vision and engineering precision. These installations utilize programmable LED panels and sensors to respond to their surroundings, maintaining a connection to traditional art forms while embracing modern technology. Through intricate layering and LED effects, these artworks transform based on environmental interactions.

Qualifications
  • Currently enrolled in a degree program related to software engineering, computer science, mechanical engineering, or a similar field.
  • A genuine interest in innovation, technology, and the arts, demonstrated through academic or personal projects.
  • Strong analytical skills and a willingness to collaborate in a dynamic team setting.
  • Familiarity with relevant programming languages and software tools.
  • Effective communication skills for interdisciplinary collaboration.
Requirements

For Software Development:

  • Proficiency in C and/or other programming languages to contribute to the development of the "Cognitive Paintings" and the "Frame Designer".
  • A minimum of two years of academic experience in computer science or coding.
  • A willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and collaborative environments.

For Mechanical Engineering:

  • Advanced skills in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) and Computer-Aided Manufacturing (CAM) to assist in the design of intricate installations.
  • Strong mechanical and dynamic knowledge to contribute to the development of technologically integrated artworks.
  • Understanding of electrical systems and robotics to enhance the kinetic aspects of the installations.
  • Knowledge of LED control mechanisms for creating dynamic visual effects.
