We are currently looking for motivated interns in software engineering and mechanical engineering to join our team and contribute to our visionary projects.
Internship OverviewRole and Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with our talented engineering team to assist in the design, development, and implementation of our unique "Cognitive Paintings."
- Enhance the functionality of the "Frame Designer," an online tool that allows for the manipulation of LED panels behind each artwork, focusing on color adjustments, animation features, and sensor integration.
- Work in tandem with team members to improve the user experience of our platform, engaging in troubleshooting and debugging activities.
- Participate in collaborative projects with dancers and choreographers to integrate movement sensors into the design process of our artworks, enriching performance interactions.
- Contribute to the development of mechanical systems that enable the dynamic movement of our installations, enhancing audience engagement.
About Our Projects:
Our "Cognitive Paintings" represent a unique fusion of art and technology, characterized by programmable LED panels that respond to environmental stimuli and audience interaction. These installations maintain a connection to traditional art forms while embracing modern technological capabilities. Through intricate layering and responsive design, our artworks evolve in real-time, creating a captivating dialogue with their surroundings.
The Frame Designer:
This innovative online interface empowers users to manipulate the visual elements of our installations. Accessible via any web browser, it allows for the customization of colors and animations, fostering a dynamic relationship between the artwork and its environment. The integration of motion and sound sensors further enhances the interactive experience, allowing for pre-programmed animations and lighting effects.
Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in a degree program related to software engineering, computer science, mechanical engineering, or a similar field.
- A genuine interest in the intersection of technology and the arts, demonstrated through relevant projects or coursework.
- Strong analytical skills and a collaborative spirit, essential for thriving in a team-oriented environment.
- Familiarity with programming languages and tools pertinent to the role.
- Effective communication skills to facilitate interdisciplinary teamwork.
For Cognitive Paintings and Frame Designer:
- Proficiency in C and/or other programming languages to actively engage in the development of our platforms.
- A minimum of two years of study in computer science or a related field, showcasing foundational programming knowledge.
- A willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and collaborative projects.
For Cognitive Paintings:
- Advanced skills in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) and Computer-Aided Manufacturing (CAM) to support the design of our installations.
- Expertise in mechanical systems and dynamics, contributing to the realization of technologically integrated artworks.
- A solid understanding of electrical systems and robotics, crucial for animating our installations.
- Knowledge of LED control mechanisms to create engaging visual effects.
