Product Development Manager Waterproofing

As a Product Engineer Waterproofing at Sika, you will be responsible for leading the development and maintenance of our Liquid Applied Membranes (LAM) products. This role requires a deep understanding of LAM technologies, as well as leadership skills to manage project teams and drive innovation.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead assigned corporate product development projects, evaluating third-party products and maintaining existing product portfolios.
- Control field testing of newly developed or optimized products.
- Develop and maintain corporate technical and marketing documentation.
- Identify market trends and customer needs, translating them into product specifications and steering R&D product developments.
- Drive development activities for complete LAM systems in water management, bridge deck waterproofing, and car parks.
- Support the distribution team in growing LAM solutions in the trade and retail business.
- Provide technical support to key clients, marketing, sales, regional, and local product engineers.
- Degree in civil engineering or chemistry or proven track record of relevant work experience.
- Minimum 5-10 years of product management or product engineering experience, or direct field experience in waterproofing for various application fields.
- In-depth knowledge of different LAM technologies, single and double component, hot and cold spray.
- Leadership of project teams and ability to think out of the box.
- Fluency in English, written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently or in teams and travel up to 30% globally.
- Experience using and handling construction tools and equipment.
