About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Development Architect to join our Cloud Lifecycle Management Application Management team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the aligned and consistent architecture of our products, contributing to the aligned and consistent architecture strategy and target architecture of SAP's Cloud Lifecycle Management tools.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate architecture risks and estimate efforts for business cases or backlog items, preparing management decisions on these topics.
  • Translate business and product requirements into technical requirements, models, and software architecture.
  • Collect and document requirements and constraints with high impact on the architecture as a basis for architectural decisions.
  • Define the product's architecture together with implementation teams, drive alignment of architecture concepts, and ensure documentation in architecture concept documents.
  • Identify opportunities for reuse of architecture concepts or software parts and cross-team synergies.
  • Align architecture with stakeholders regarding architectural or technical dependencies.
  • Support and advise our product owner by ensuring technical and architectural feasibility, readiness, and compliance.
  • Set up collaboration with developers/architects of the product team/implementation teams and contribute to all tasks of implementation teams/product teams.

Requirements:

  • Proven technical skills to master the 'full stack' of cloud applications: cloud platforms, databases, operating systems, and cloud infrastructure.
  • Eagerness to be up to date with the latest Software Engineering Methods and Cloud Technologies.
  • Innovative thinking: continuously improve operating efficiencies and drive automation and optimization.
  • Passion for innovation, strong interest in business process background.
  • Good German and English communication and technical skills.
  • Very strong analytical and logical skills.
  • Fast learner with a goal-oriented working style.
  • Good team player, working in a friendly and agile team.
  • 'Can do' attitude with clear customer focus.
  • Excellent team player.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Good SAP Basis Netweaver skills.
  • Knowledge of leading cloud service providers like Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform.
  • Experience in fundamental web technologies such as http, SOAP, XML, REST, HTML5, CSS, JQuery.
