Chief Strategy Officer

Connecting Experts is seeking a seasoned Chief Strategy Officer to spearhead the development of our clean energy initiatives. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for driving business outcomes and operationalising our strategic plans.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate closely with the CEO and founder to develop and execute strategic plans, ensuring alignment with our organisational goals.
  • Work with the CFO, CEO, COO, and other senior leaders to drive business outcomes, achieve operational and financial goals, and deliver positive financial results.
  • Establish ambitious yet attainable goals for profitability, performance, and growth, and provide measurement instruments to assess the efficacy and efficiency of internal and external activities.
  • Deliver timely and accurate reports, and direct the creation, dissemination, and application of growth plans and procedures that drive organisational efficiency and profitability.
  • Work with the senior management team to create and roll out plans for internal infrastructure, reporting systems, operational procedures, and corporate policies.
  • As a leader, inspire and motivate staff members at all levels, including professionals, managers, and members of the leadership team.
  • Oversee the activation and operation of crisis teams, and create strategic alliances and connections with banks, investors, suppliers, customers, and other business relationships.
  • Participate in roadshows, work with the CEO, COO, and CFO to raise capital, and communicate with potential investors and private equity firms to effectively convey company information.
Qualifications and Requirements:
  • Advanced degree in management, business administration, or a related field.
  • Proven leadership experience in the renewable energy or associated industries.
  • Expertise in working with project-based companies.
  • Track record of implementation expertise and hands-on leadership in handling cross-functional challenges.
  • Proven ability to execute efficient management frameworks, streamline processes, and drive organisational transformation.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to identify root causes.
  • Experience with crisis and incident management in complex organisations.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey ideas concisely to various audiences.
  • Strategic mindset, with a focus on long-term growth and adaptability.
  • Native speaker of German.
