US Army Europe – Africa G6 Communications Network Engineer

As a Communications Network Engineer for US Army Europe – Africa G6, you'll be part of a team that's working to create a safer, healthier, and more secure nation and world.

The Army Theater Operations Department is seeking a Communications Network Engineer with experience in Army/DoD communications and information systems, and strategic cloud implementation. You'll work with a distributed team to develop technical deliverables such as cloud migration plans, Zero Trust Architecture assessments, and theater network architecture development.

This position requires a commitment and relocation for 3 years to Wiesbaden, Germany in support of our work with USAREUR-AF. You'll be expected to work 5 days a week on-site at the Army Europe-Africa Mission Command Center on Clay Kaserne.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with junior and senior team members as part of a distributed team.
  • Develop technical deliverables such as cloud migration plans, Zero Trust Architecture assessments, and theater network architecture development.
  • Work with Senior Government Leaders and other stakeholders to address strategic challenges.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree; or 3 years and a Master's degree; or a PhD with relevant experience.
  • Active Secret clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI clearance.
  • Experience working with DODIN networks and cloud computing.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree in Systems Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems Management, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related fields.
  • Ability to communicate complex concepts to different audiences.
  • Demonstrated initiative and collaboration bringing the corporation to bear to address strategic challenges.
