Your Responsibilities
  • Lead commercial projects to implement large-scale carbon capture plants at industrial sites and power plants across Europe, focusing on post-combustion carbon capture with capacities over 100 kt/a.
  • Manage contracts and claims, including setting up commercial specifications, tendering, evaluation, negotiation, and finalization of EPC and engineering contracts, supported by legal and technical specialists throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Develop and negotiate standardized international supply contracts, considering various national laws and regulations.
  • Act as a liaison between the project team and E.ON's central procurement department in Essen, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration.
  • Monitor and control project budgets, identifying and mitigating risks from the award phase to project acceptance.
  • Pre-qualify suppliers and service providers to ensure compliance with requirements and standards, and develop suppliers to meet our needs.
Your Profile
  • Hold a university degree or equivalent with a solid commercial background and expertise in tendering and procurement procedures, as well as knowledge of international contract management and legal frameworks.
  • Have several years of experience in commercial project and contract management for process plant construction, energy industry, or related sectors.
  • Be a skilled purchaser with strong capabilities in challenging and complex working situations.
  • Exhibit an entrepreneurial mindset, with the ability to work independently, take initiative, and demonstrate a high level of commitment, while being team-oriented and confident in negotiations and communication with suppliers and service providers.
  • Be able to understand technical, process engineering, and legal topics to ensure a holistic approach to procurement.
  • Have excellent written and spoken English and German fluency (at least B2 level), with knowledge of other languages being a plus.
  • Be proficient in SAP BI and SAP Materials Management, as well as have strong MS Office skills, especially in Excel.
  • Be available for short business trips in Europe to meet customers and stakeholders.
