Research Opportunity: Lightweight Environment Classification for Hearables
We are seeking a highly motivated master's student to collaborate with our team on a research project focused on lightweight environment classification for hearables. The project aims to develop a minimal footprint machine learning approach for environment classification, which can be used to improve the performance of adaptive transparence/noise cancellation on hearables.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop a low-complexity acoustic scene classification model using machine learning techniques
- Design and implement a decision tree based on user preference tests for ANC/Transparency/Neither
- Collaborate with our team to integrate the classification model into a hearable device
Requirements:
- Currently studying Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
- Proficient in Python programming and experienced in signal processing
- Familiarity with machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch
