Your Role:
We are seeking a talented Senior Structural Analysis Engineer with a robust background in structural stress analysis for propulsion systems. In this role, you will be an integral part of our Propulsion and Flight Controls Integrated Project Team, contributing to the advancement of urban e-mobility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee finite element (FE) modeling or perform hand calculations for the structural analysis of propulsion system components.
- Ensure model correlation with dynamic test data to meet certification requirements.
- Assist in test campaigns aimed at validating stress analysis methodologies and tools as part of our compliance strategy.
- Develop, manage, and validate comprehensive FE models of propulsion systems, including both stationary and rotating components, while being responsible for the entire numerical modeling workflow.
- Produce clear and detailed technical reports and documentation.
Your Qualifications:
- A degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline is essential.
- Over 8 years of professional experience in structural analysis, particularly in aerospace engines, turbomachinery, or electric engines.
- Proficient in using the commercial implicit FE software OptiStruct, along with its pre- and post-processing tools (HyperMesh and HyperView).
- Strong understanding of vibration analysis in the context of FE simulations; experience with electric motors is a plus.
- Familiarity with aviation vibration standards such as DO160G-Chapter 8 and MIL-STD-810, as well as other relevant ISO standards.
- Experience in analysis validation using experimental methods, especially concerning compliance with CS-E type regulations.
- A proactive, self-motivated problem solver with a strong ability to work independently and meet targets.
- Fluency in English is required; proficiency in German or other languages is advantageous.
