Engineering Project Lead and Manager

As a Project Manager for Engineering Projects at Johnson Electric Germany GmbH & Co. KG, you will be responsible for leading and managing project engineers and the entire project team. Your goal will be to ensure the successful execution of projects by managing and leading the project, setting targets, and tracking progress.

Key Responsibilities
  • Define project goals, budgets, cost, and schedule according to agreed targets.
  • Manage customer communication and customer management in cooperation with BDM and sales team.
  • Ensure project execution using milestone reviews, project tools, and documentation.
  • Support the improvement of project management processes.
Requirements

Educational background:

  • University degree in industrial engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, precision engineering, or a similar subject with technical business background.

Hard skills:

  • Several years of experience as an engineer, product manager, or project manager, preferably on mechanical design and industrialization for mass production.
  • Solid technical/ Engineering competencies are of high importance.
  • Experience with interdisciplinary teams across global organization.
  • Experience with external customer projects and cooperation to external parties.
  • First project management experience with milestone processes and product approvals.
  • Sound usage of MS office and project management tools.
  • Proficient English language skills (written and spoken).
  • Basic understanding of mechatronic systems and industrial manufacturing.
  • Basic experiences or interest in Agile Management.

Soft skills:

  • Several years of experience in the development of technical systems and their industrialization.
  • Customer focused view combined with an think-like-an-owner attitude.
  • Structured, solution-oriented, and pragmatic way of thinking and working.
  • Committed and reliable personality.
  • Lead with clarity and decision making attitude, still working as a team player.
  • Experience in technical trouble shooting.
