Translation and Project Management Assistant

About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to support our Corporate Content Translation Team at SAP's Language Experience (LX) unit. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with project managers and translators to manage a wide range of multilingual translation and multimedia projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support project managers and translators in managing translation projects, including project planning, coordination, and execution.
  • Utilize various tools for project and translation management, including Trados Studio and XTM.
  • Assist in the exploration and implementation of Machine Translation (MT) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools for translation.
  • Participate in strategic projects related to the team's migration to a new cloud-based tool landscape.
  • Collaborate with the team to configure and test new tools, ensuring seamless integration and optimal processes.
  • Assist in troubleshooting tool-related issues and optimize processes sustainably.
  • Develop and maintain internal process and tool documentation to enhance team efficiency and knowledge sharing.

Requirements

  • Student (f/m/d) at a university or a university of applied sciences.
  • Experience with standard translation tools, such as Trados Studio and XTM, is highly desirable.
  • Fluency in English is a must, with fluency in German preferred. Knowledge of an additional language is a plus.
  • Strong team spirit, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently and proactively.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail, with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Open-mindedness and a willingness to learn and apply new technologies.
  • High level of responsibility when working with confidential translation projects.
