About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join our executive team at FTAPI, a leading provider of secure data workflow platforms. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the comprehensive management of our financial operations and will play a critical role in our growth and international expansion efforts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Strategy Management:
    • Develop and implement financial strategies to support FTAPI's growth objectives
    • Oversee all accounting activities, ensuring accuracy and compliance
    • Lead the finance team, providing mentorship and fostering a culture of continuous improvement
  • Reporting and Analysis:
    • Utilize tools such as Power BI to provide insightful financial reports and analysis
    • Maintain and enhance the financial reporting framework, ensuring timely and accurate financial statements
    • Manage the budgeting process and financial forecasting to support strategic decision-making
  • Stakeholder Communication:
    • Serve as the primary financial liaison with the board of directors, investors, and other key stakeholders
    • Communicate complex financial information clearly and effectively to both internal and external parties
  • Leadership and Team Management:
    • Lead the data team, driving the development of financial metrics and KPIs specific to SaaS companies
    • Foster a collaborative environment across all departments, inspiring confidence and trust among employees
    • Act as a mentor to less experienced team members, promoting professional growth and development
  • Strategic Partnering:
    • Work closely with the CEO and the Board as a strategic partner, providing critical insights and challenging ideas constructively
    • Support the CEO in strategic initiatives and provide input on business decisions and growth plans
  • International Expansion:
    • Develop and execute financial strategies to support international market expansion, particularly in Europe
    • Ensure financial compliance and effective risk management in new markets
About You
  • Proven experience as a CFO or in a similar financial leadership role
  • A must-have is the experience within the software or technology sector, preferably SaaS B2B Business
  • Strong understanding of SaaS business models and financial metrics
  • Expertise in financial planning, analysis, and reporting with proficiency in tools like Power BI
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging with diverse stakeholders
  • Leadership qualities that inspire confidence and foster a positive organizational culture
  • Strategic mindset with a long-term orientation commitment to seeing projects through to completion
  • Fluent in German and English; proficiency in additional European languages is a plus
  • Based in Munich or willing to relocate to Munich
