Chief Security Officer

Schulz & Cie. Consulting GmbH is seeking a seasoned professional to take on the role of Chief Information Security Officer. This position is crucial for ensuring the integrity and security of our information systems.
Key Responsibilities- Assist management in developing and refining the information security framework and provide guidance on all matters related to information security.
- Create and implement information security policies and other necessary regulations.
- Ensure compliance controls are in place regarding the information security policies and oversee adherence by IT service providers.
- Contribute to the formulation and regular updates of the emergency response plan concerning IT challenges.
- Initiate and oversee information security initiatives to safeguard our systems.
- Engage in IT-related projects to ensure security considerations are integrated.
- Act as the primary contact for information security inquiries within the organization and for external stakeholders.
- Conduct investigations into information security breaches and report findings to senior management.
- Facilitate awareness and training programs focused on information security.
- Provide regular updates to management on the status of information security, at least on a quarterly basis, as well as on an as-needed basis.
This role is particularly relevant for professionals with experience in:
- Financial institutions
- Banking
- FinTech companies
- Securities firms
- A minimum of several years of relevant professional experience.
- Experience in an auditing firm or within a BaFin-regulated financial institution.
