STARK Sourcing is a cross-country organization responsible for all sourcing activities in STARK Group. We are the only true cross-border procurement organization in the building materials industry in Europe, and we take pride in delivering the right products at the right price to our customers.
Job Content- Define an optimal supplier portfolio for 3 years, considering terms, short vs. long-term balance, and tender vs. forecast utilization.
- Establish frame contracts to enable future supplier portfolio and drive strategic processes with suppliers in cooperation with business units' sourcing management.
- Maintain a comprehensive global and local supplier overview, assessing production facilities, market positions, and strategies.
- Analyze supplier performance and monitor market development, understanding cost driver insights for timber producers.
- Obtain and share information on the full timber market in Europe to make informed sourcing decisions.
- Coordinate product development and cost reduction projects with European suppliers and business units' stakeholders.
- Manage organizational supplier overview and engage with decision-level European counterparts.
- Establish good, local business units' suppliers into other business units to increase competition and secure volume options.
- Develop and maintain partnerships with suppliers in the European Supplier Program (ESP).
- Drive competitiveness and profitability through optimized sourcing, cost reduction, and supplier performance enhancement.
- Balance volumes between suppliers in – and between all markets to secure the most competitive prices and secure availability for all business units.

- You will report directly to Group Category Director Commodities, Jan Henning Bystrøm.
- Your manager is located in Norway, but re-location is not necessary for this position.
- However, some traveling must be expected since you will have a lot of interactions with local business unit teams.
- You have excellent stakeholder management skills, as well as strong relationship management and networking skills.
- You have the capability and interest to work on 'everything'; from strategy and strategic direction to details on product level.
- You have a pro-active approach and a natural drive for adapting to new ways of working.
- You are able to constructively challenge the establishment within the Timber Category area.
- You have proven experience with fact-based and strategic negotiation skills.
- You have excellent communications skills.
- You have a strong strategic mindset.
- You have strong analytical and numerical skills, with the ability to assimilate information.
- You have drive and curiosity, are proactive, innovative, and an initiator – these are words that describe you.
- You thrive in collaborating with others.
- You have some knowledge of – or at least an interest in sustainability.
- You are comfortable working in English (corporate language).
