About the Role

Overview

Siemens Energy is seeking a highly experienced Project Director to lead large EPC projects in the HVDC business. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing projects from design to commissioning, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery while maintaining high customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage large EPC projects in the HVDC business, including cost, time, functionality, and customer satisfaction.
  • Report to the responsible Business Manager and manage the overall project, comprising packages ranging from HV equipment to civil and installation packages.
  • Develop and implement risk, opportunity, and issue management strategies to mitigate risks and ensure project success.
  • Negotiate with stakeholders on Change Requests and incorporate them into contracts.
  • Manage customer expectations and requirements, ensuring the provided solution meets their needs.
  • Ensure efficient communication with all relevant stakeholders and targeted communication within the project team.
  • Establish a framework to ensure regular checks of project compliance.

Requirements

  • University degree in electrical engineering.
  • Long-term experience in project management and tools, as well as experience in Transmission and complex EPC Business.
  • Leadership experience, including personnel management, development, and team motivation.
  • Track record of knowledge of economics in project business.
  • Proven EHS Leadership and advanced knowledge of Compliance Regulations.
  • Expert knowledge of internal and international rules and regulations relevant for Project Management, Supply Chain Management, Asset Management, and Global Procurement.
  • Business fluent English and German skills, as well as an expectation of extensive travel.
