Training Specialist II

Join the Department of Juvenile Justice/Office of Staff Development and Training team as a Training Specialist II, a grant-funded position responsible for preparing and providing certification and in-service training for juvenile justice professionals.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement training programs to achieve program effectiveness and meet training goals and objectives.
- Monitor trends related to physical intervention techniques, rate of injury, frequency, and other trends as directed.
- Prepare accurate and timely reports and training records, collecting, analyzing, and making recommendations based on data.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
- Three years of professional or technical experience in areas such as training, teaching, staff development, criminal justice, forensic laboratory, or a combination of education and experience.
- One year of the required experience must be at the supervisory level.
- Knowledge of proper training procedures.
- Knowledge of quality assurance.
- Knowledge of correct grammar usage.
- Knowledge of office equipment.
- Knowledge of the operation of a personal computer and related software.
- Knowledge of good customer service practices.
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
- Ability to create lesson guides.
- Ability to work independently and with a team.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
This is a grant-funded position, and the selected candidate will be responsible for the duties and requirements mentioned above. The position will be housed within the Department of Juvenile Justice and will report to the Training and Research Manager.
