As a key member of our Space Segment Payload Technical team, you will be responsible for ensuring the Satellite Regenerative Payload functions and related software and firmware are developed and qualified to meet Service requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and qualify Satellite Regenerative Payload functions and related software and firmware to meet Service requirements.
- Act as part of the Procurement team, overseeing Space Segment Prime Contractor(s) activities through Phase CDE.
- Focus on the Onboard Processor functional, software, and firmware aspects of the Telecommunication Payload.
- Follow Regenerative Payload functional architecture, processing logic, development, and validation, covering both Mission and Payload control.
- Support the development and validation of the network and air interfaces, and Satellite Platform interfaces.
- Review and provide guidance on all Payload Software and Firmware activities.
- Provide technical support to the System Level Engineering Team for related topics, such as:
- System Validation and Operations
- Network and Payload control
- Support the generation and maintenance of related Interface Control Documents.
- Review the verification approach and support system-level tests.
- Support related Satellite technical topics.
- Support the definition and execution of in-orbit tests and operations.
- Visit and review Satellite Prime activities.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in Satellite Systems development in Phase CD, focusing on Payloads functional and/or software design and development.
- Experience in related System Engineering activities, such as requirements and interface management.
- In-depth knowledge of Software and Firmware development for Satellite Payloads.
- Good verbal and written skills. Good team working is essential.
- Able to guide and control Satellite Prime and Payload supplier.
- Willingness to work flexibly and as necessary to achieve goals on time.
- Excellent written and spoken English.
