About the Role

The Inhouse IT Specialist will be responsible for the smooth operation of our computer systems within the constraints of requirements, specifications, cost, and time. This role involves close cooperation with our mother company dSPACE's IT management to oversee the implementation and maintenance of our company's computing needs and ensure compliance with regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and maintain the organization's technology infrastructure, including hardware, software, and networks.
  • Maintain our Microsoft Active Directory, Exchange Server (on premise and cloud), and our Google Workspace.
  • Analyze and process user requests in first and second-level support via our ticket system (Freshdesk) and in cooperation with dSPACE IT.
  • Solve IT problems in dealing with Windows clients, smartphones (Android and iPhone), printers, conference systems (Logitech Roommate), and office applications.
  • Onboard and offboard employees, including provision of the corresponding systems (e.g., Confluence, GitLab, Slack, KeyCloak, etc.).
  • Setup and maintain employee's hardware on Windows and Linux.
Requirements
  • A degree in computer science or a comparable qualification (e.g., IT training, long years of experience in the field).
  • Excellent knowledge of technical management, information analysis, and computer hardware/software systems.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Active Directory, Google Workspace, and Atlassian products.
  • Hands-on experience with computer networks, network administration, and network installation.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English (German is a plus).
