Job Title: MEP Cost Manager

At Turner & Townsend, we're passionate about delivering exceptional results for our clients. As an MEP Cost Manager, you'll play a crucial role in helping us achieve this goal.

About the Role

We're seeking a highly skilled and experienced MEP Cost Manager to join our Cost Management team in Frankfurt, Munich, or Stuttgart. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for managing major projects and clients, establishing early budgets, and providing cost planning and estimating services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in feasibility studies and write procurement reports
  • Estimate and cost plan, including producing and presenting the final cost plan to internal and external clients
  • Tender and procure, including managing the pre-qualification stage
  • Deal with post-contract cost variances and change control processes
  • Take personal responsibility for making cost checks and carrying out valuations on larger projects
  • Produce monthly post-contract cost reports and present them to the client
  • Contribute to value engineering
  • Negotiate and agree final accounts
  • Interface with clients and other consultants at all project stages
  • Lead a cost management team, ensuring they deliver on all accountabilities
Requirements

We're looking for a candidate with a degree in Quantity Surveying, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. You'll need a proven track record of delivering high-quality cost management services across the full project lifecycle. Experience in delivering MEP elements of work for clients and leading cost management commissions for large construction projects is essential.

You'll also need excellent presentation, verbal, and written communication skills, as well as sound organizational skills and the ability to multitask and work as part of a team. A working knowledge of MS Office software and tools is required, and experience with cost databases and/or estimating software is advantageous.
