At Delivery Hero, we are revolutionizing the world of food delivery and advertising. As a Senior Data Scientist in our Ad Tech domain, you will play a crucial role in shaping our mission to deliver amazing experiences.
You will work alongside other data professionals designing and deploying advanced models to solve complex problems, driving revenue growth and profitability for Delivery Hero. Our innovative tech and product offering is the backbone of our development, with Ad Tech predicted to generate more than 1 billion euros in revenue in the near future.
The Vendor Data tribe's mission is to drive innovation, insight-driven decision making, and to solve business problems through a culture of excellence and openness. As a team member, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of vendor advertising campaigns.
Job Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement advanced machine learning models to optimize ad ranking, bidding strategies, and ad pacing mechanisms.
- Analyze large-scale datasets to understand and identify opportunities deploying sophisticated statistical techniques to improve ad relevance, click-through rates, and conversion metrics.
- Lead research initiatives to explore emerging trends and technologies in AdTech and machine learning, contributing to the advancement of Delivery Hero's advertising products and algorithms.
- Serve as a subject matter expert in data science and machine learning, providing guidance and mentorship to other team members and fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation within the data science team.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in modeling business problems using machine learning techniques, including feature engineering, model selection, and evaluation.
- Ability to enhance the performance of other team members through mentorship and constructive collaboration.
- Expertise in building and training complex ML models, with strong knowledge of the Python data toolkit, including Pandas and CatBoost.
- Familiarity with SQL queries and ability to explore data universes to gather information for analysis and solution development.
- Clean code writing skills and effective use of software versioning, ideally Git.
- Familiarity with deploying and developing in cloud systems, ideally GCP.
- A love for learning, critical thinking, and creative problem-solving, with a strive for excellence.
- Experience working in a diverse environment, collaborating with stakeholders from different tech teams.
Salary Estimate: €120,000 - €150,000 per year, depending on experience.
Location: Berlin, Germany.
