Data Engineering Expert

We're seeking a seasoned Data Engineer to drive our data strategies forward. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with our Engineers to craft, clean, and optimise large datasets, making them usable for various business use cases. Your expertise will be crucial in translating business needs into actionable data intelligence solutions.
In this role, you will collaborate with our stakeholders to understand their needs and leverage your knowledge of machine learning techniques and statistical analysis to extract insights and predictive analytics from data. You will also design and implement solutions for processing and analysing data in real-time to support our dynamic business needs and decision-making processes.
As a leader in the development of our data platform, including data store, pipeline architecture, and data warehouse infrastructure, you will play a vital role in driving our business forward. Your strong communication and collaboration skills, combined with your ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment, will be invaluable assets to our organisation.
Your Profile- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree preferred
- Proven experience in data engineering, particularly with big data technologies and platforms
- Strong proficiency in machine learning techniques and statistical analysis
- Hands-on experience with real-time data processing frameworks such as Kafka or Spark
- Proficiency with data platform development and cloud-based technologies, preferably with exposure to Databricks
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment
- Familiarity with buyer experience optimisation strategies including catalog management and pricing algorithms
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic environment and drive results in a rapidly evolving organisation
Please note that this role requires eligibility to work within the EU and will be based in our Berlin office.
