About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Logistics Specialist to join our team at Freudenberg. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient movement of goods across the globe.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Verify customer orders and initiate corrections in collaboration with Order Management colleagues.
  • Prepare export documents in accordance with German and EU regulations, as well as import regulations in various countries, including coordination with service providers for goods inspections.
  • Check freight papers and documents.
  • Prepare dangerous goods documents.
  • Verify and sign off dangerous goods documents and inspect packages for the authorized person (bP).
  • Place orders and hand over consignment and freight documents to freight forwarders in accordance with KLM guidelines, dangerous goods regulations, and packaging regulations.
  • Coordinate delivery dates with customers through proactive communication with internal departments.
  • Ensure on-time dispatch and proactive action in case of delays until a satisfactory solution is found for the customer.
  • Verify forwarding invoices and initiate corrections in collaboration with haulage companies, external service providers, and finance department colleagues.
  • Ensure timely return of export certificates.
  • Ensure VAT documents and accounting proof in accordance with UStDV and Klüber regulations.
  • Proper and auditable filing.
  • Handling of transport damage.
  • Record, monitor, and process orders for documentary payment transactions (letters of credit).
  • Interface function to Order Management and Warehouse areas.
  • Coordination with forwarders.

    Requirements:

    • Several years of experience in a logistics function.
    • SAP, AEB-Assist, and MS-Office know-how.
    • Best-practice experience in intra- and extra-logistics.
    • Practical and in-depth experience in Lean Management and Six Sigma.
    • Key performance indicator-based decision making.
    • Very good written and spoken German and English skills.
    • Personally and professionally convincing personality.
