About the Role

Xylem Water Solutions is seeking an experienced Indirect Tax Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our global tax strategy team, you will provide indirect tax advice to various business groups and work closely with the business to ensure compliance with VAT regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • VAT Compliance: Manage VAT compliance across the region, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
  • Intercompany Interactions: Coordinate VAT compliance and ensure efficiency of VAT tax audits.
  • VAT Planning: Develop a proactive approach to VAT planning and deliver VAT advice to various business groups.
  • Indirect Tax Strategy: Develop a coherent and proactive indirect tax strategy to effectively manage and identify VAT risks.
  • Center of Excellence: Act as a center of excellence within Xylem for indirect tax issues, providing technical assistance and updating finance teams on developments in indirect tax.
  • Relationship Building: Maintain strong relationships with growth centers and interface with outside tax consultants and other professional associates.
Requirements
  • Experience: 4+ years of tax or indirect tax experience, preferably in manufacturing, distribution, and customs.
  • Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in finance, accounting, business, or related field, ideally combined with a tax degree or certification.
  • Skills: Experience with European statutory and GAAP (IFRS) reporting, VAT reporting standards, and FAS 5.
  • Language: Business fluent English, German would be great, additional languages nice to have.
