About the Role

Xylem Water Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Indirect Tax Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our global tax strategy team, you will play a crucial role in providing indirect tax advice to various business groups and ensuring the efficient management of VAT compliance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage VAT compliance and ensure the efficient management of VAT tax audits
  • Coordinate VAT compliance and ensure the efficient management of VAT tax audits
  • Develop a coherent and proactive indirect tax strategy to effectively manage and identify VAT risks
  • Act as a center of excellence for indirect tax issues, providing technical assistance and updating finance teams on developments in indirect tax
  • Ensure VAT rules and documentation are incorporated into Xylem's procedures
  • Maintain strong relationships with growth centers and interface with outside tax consultants
Requirements
  • 4+ years of tax or indirect tax experience, preferably in manufacturing, distribution, and customs
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in finance, accounting, business, or a related field, ideally with a tax degree or certification
  • Experience with European statutory and GAAP (IFRS) reporting, including VAT reporting standards
  • Experience in a complex, US multinational environment
  • Business fluent English, German would be great, additional languages nice to have
