Job Summary

We are seeking a Chief Engineer (Solar/Wind) to join our team. As a key member of our project development team, you will be responsible for leading the engineering and design of wind and solar PV projects, ensuring compliance with company and project environmental, health, and safety policies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development, engineering, and design of wind and solar PV projects
  • Manage project development engineering activities, ensuring timely delivery and cost-effectiveness
  • Establish and maintain engineering, design criteria, and applicable standards and specifications for wind and solar PV projects
  • Support technical diligence on site selection and project acquisitions
  • Direct activities of designers, consultants, and contractors, ensuring efficient use of resources and meeting deadlines
  • Write, edit, and review technical scope of work documents, specifications, procedures, and site reports
  • Collaborate with the development team and external consultants to deliver energy models and simulations, electrical schematics, and plant and equipment layouts
  • Manage and conduct cost-cutting and optimization analyses, monitor emerging technical regulatory requirements, and ensure coordination between suppliers and stakeholders

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing, Project, or Industrial Engineering, or Engineering Economics
  • Proficiency in English; knowledge of a CEE language is a must
  • Confident and experienced in working in an interdisciplinary engineering field
  • Proficient in working with figures and calculation tools, with the ability to analyze and illustrate results for decision-making
  • Engineering experience in the wind and/or solar PV project development industry is preferred
  • Significant relevant experience in project management, new product introductions, supply chain, and procurement engineering
