Strategic Commodity Engineer for Standard Semiconductors

Job DescriptionCommodity Strategy and Portfolio Management
We are seeking an experienced Strategic Commodity Engineer to join our team in Corporate SCM Pooling Direct. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing commodity strategies for standard semiconductors, working closely with commercial partners and suppliers.
Techincal Expertise and Coaching
You will act as a technical expert and coach for a wide range of standard semiconductors (analog, discrete, opto, and logic components and timing devices) within the SCM Pooled Direct organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement commodity strategies for assigned material fields.
- Collaborate with commercial partners and suppliers to drive cost and value engineering initiatives.
- Select and manage suppliers based on their ability to meet quality and sustainability standards.
- Identify and evaluate innovative ideas and solutions from suppliers.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including suppliers, commercial partners, and internal teams.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Supply Chain Management, product development, R&D, and/or engineering functions.
- Strong understanding of technical aspects of standard semiconductors.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a global team.
