Overview

Cybersecurity and IT solutions provider Cybex GmbH is seeking a seasoned Enterprise Architecture Manager to lead the development of our technology vision and strategy. As a key member of our leadership team, you will collaborate with stakeholders across the business to define technical requirements and deliverables, and assist in setting expectations within the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain the overall technology vision and strategy, ensuring its alignment with the Product Development roadmap.
  • Create and present Architecture Design Documents that capture non-functional requirements from the perspective of business, software, data, and infrastructure architectures.
  • Review and ensure completeness of architecture documents created by the team, considering competing concerns of the technology strategy, non-functional requirements, customer needs, and product roadmap.
  • Mentor and develop engineering staff in architectural concerns.
  • Stay current on technical advances in the industry, including microservices, distributed systems, cloud, deployment and delivery automation, machine learning.
  • Accountable for the design, ease of evolution, quality, performance, scaling, and availability characteristics of the systems.
  • Support and reinforce our development process with the architecture and product management teams, acting as a champion for high-quality implementations.
  • Perform code and design reviews of components created by engineers and architects.
  • Drive the architectural and service governance program (guardrails).
  • Occasionally perform hands-on development of interfaces and frameworks for the engineering team.
  • Work with product management, business stakeholders, and other engineering leaders to define mid-term and long-term roadmaps and shape business directions.

  • Develops the technical capability of their team and the IT organization as a whole.
  • Passionate about integrating data and applications to create world-class composable systems architectures.
  • Analyzes technology industry and market trends and determines potential impact upon the enterprise.
  • Obsesses about creating and maintaining useful reference architecture standards.
  • Develops relationships with vendors and business partners.
  • Acts as a consultant to IT and business leaders.
  • Responsible for performance and coaching of staff, with a participatory role in decisions regarding talent selection, development, and performance.
